We need your help– donate to a red kettle today!

“The Red Kettles are a symbol of giving and represent a tradition of caring that is passed down from generation to generation. We’re hoping that shoppers will remember their neighbors in need when they see a Salvation Army bell ringer in the community during the coming days and be as generous as they can to help.” -Major Todd Hawks, Area Commander for The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta

The Salvation Army needs your help to fill red kettles for our neighbors in need!

This year, the Kettle season is shorter by five vital days because of the late Thanksgiving date. Donations coming in between now and Christmas Eve are critically important to The Salvation Army’s ability to meet needs in the metro Atlanta community year round. Nationwide, five fewer bell ringing days could be $20 million less in donations that fund Salvation Army Programs year round.

Here’s what your change does after you drop it in a kettle:

  • Assists thousands of individuals with rent
  • Provides utility assistance for families in danger of being unable to make ends meet
  • Feeds our hungry neighbors
  • Shelters those experiencing homelessness here in Atlanta.

Last year, we were able to provide of 157,000 people with a warm meal and 103,000 men, women, and children with shelter in Atlanta. The Salvation Army remains committed to doing the most good for suffering families in our community, and we need your help to make that possible once again—even with a shorter kettle season!

Our Red Kettles can be found outside of retailers across Atlanta, or you can donate online now.

Thank you for helping us continue to serve those in need in our community this holiday season and year-round.
