Salvation Army Atlanta 2010 Summer Programs Underway

Week one of Summer 2010 programs has begun at Salvation Army facilities throughout Metro Atlanta.       

On Monday,May 24,  The Salvation Army Atlanta Temple Corps Community Center opened its door for thirty children, grades K-4, to the start of a fun-filled eight-week day camp program.  Camp activities will include recreational sports, arts & crafts, water games, computer labs and physical fitness and character building activities. The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center will kick-off its summer programs with a day long festival for youth, adults and seniors on Wednesday, May 26.  The Summer Kick-Off Day activities will include interactive demonstrations of the Center’s ceramics, salsa, Tai-Chi and other classes for local seniors from 10am-12:30pm. From 4:30 pm-7:30pm, the Center will host an Outdoor Carnival featuring food, carnival games, a water dunking machine, face painting, prizes and more for the entire family.
