Exhausted and enriched by their newfound friends and experiences, more than 100 local youth have returned home from a week of summer camping at The Salvation Army Camp Grandview in Jasper, GA.
This year’s camp theme is “Where The Wild Things Are”. In Psalm 7:1 from The Message it reads, “God! God! I am running to You for dear life; the chase is wild.”
The boys and girls, also members of The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta’s Peachcrest and Fuqua Units, spent the week canoeing, hiking, swimming, fishing, and worshipping with new friends and The Salvation Army Camp Staff.
The Salvation Army summer program season will end in July, but you still have time to support the more than 500 youth who participate in our residential and summer camping programs.
