Meet John Tindal
“I didn’t know where my next meal was coming from before I entered The Salvation Army Red Shield Services Shelter. I went from being a homeless veteran—without hope, to a hopeful veteran preparing to graduate from The Vets on The Move program and furthering my education. The Salvation Army welcomed me with opened arms and led me in the right direction,” explains John Tindal.
John Tindal entered our Vets on The Move Program on January 3, 2011, and graduated on April 15, 2011. While in the 90-day program, Tindal attended all of his scheduled classes, groups and bible studies, and is now preparing for the job placement phase of the program. At least 70% of Veterans who complete the program obtain a self supporting job and/or entitled benefits within 45 days of completion.
Because of our generous donors supporting the many programs offered throughout The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command, John Tindal has been given the hope needed to turn his life around.
