AutoTrader.com and its employees focus on unique ways to make meaningful contributions to the communities in which they serve. So we weren’t surprised when they individually wrapped and hand delivered 110 goody bags to the senior residents at our William Booth Towers.
On April 19, 2011, 98 residents received AutoTrader.com bags filled with toiletry items, pens, pencils, and a number of nutritious snacks.
Along with Majors Loyd and Alyce Kerns, directors of The Salvation Army William Booth Towers, AutoTrader.com employees filled several shopping carts and went door-to-door in the four-story building to pass out the goody bags.
To ensure that each resident received their AutoTrader.com bags, the Kerns placed the items inside the resident apartments that were vacant at the time of delivery.
Major Loyd Kerns expressed his sincere gratitude to AutoTrader.com for the wonderful gifts. “We are so grateful because all of our residents live on fixed incomes and every little bit counts. These items were so helpful to them and really brightened their day,” explained Kerns.
AutoTrader.com employee, Stephen Hooks stated in just six words how they accomplish each volunteering task: “Team work makes the dream work!”
The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command appreciates AutoTrader.com and their outstanding employee volunteerism. Today we say THANK YOU to AutoTrader.com!
