Moving Around To Serve More

Throughout the world, The Salvation Army has become well-known for its readiness to give emergency financial and personal assistance quickly and compassionately.

Each day throughout Metro Atlanta, The Salvation Army Financial Emergency Services Centers provide emergency and life-sustaining assistance with food, clothing, rent/mortgage, utilities, school supplies and furniture to individuals and families facing a financial crisis.

On Thursday, September 08, 2011, we hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our Douglas County Financial Emergency Service Center that recently moved to a new location; 8493 Bowden Street
Douglasville, GA 30134. The need for financial assistance has grown substantially and this new facility will allow us to serve more. Douglasville Mayor Mickey Thompson welcomed The Salvation Army by attending this wonderful ceremony and assisted The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Commander, Major Marshall Gesner with cutting the ribbon.
