When I think of home, I think of a place where there’s love overflowing, but what if that place was under a bridge. In Georgia, thousands of families are losing the places they call home. According to the most recent Point-in-Time studies, over 75,000 individuals experience homelessness in Georgia. More than 60% are in households with children.
The Salvation Army Home Sweet Home Gwinnett program is working hard to break this shocking reality. The program houses families in furnished apartments with in-home case management to educate and empower them to regain permanent housing.
On October 28th, join comedian Jeff Foxworthy at The Salvation Army of Gwinnett 5th Annual Breakfast to help raise funds for their Home Sweet Home program. Currently, 36 families have graduated from the program and 94% have remained in stable housing. They have also maintained employment during the 12 months following graduation.
