Celebrating People In Action: Honoring the Georgia Tech Youth Enrichment Program

Since the beginning, volunteers have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with The Salvation Army here in Atlanta to provide help for all those in need. Often referred to as “the army behind The Army,” volunteers play a crucial role in our ability to provide quality services.

This week, April 15th-21st marks National Volunteer Week and we will be honoring some ordinary people doing extraordinary things for The Salvation Army.

Today we recognize the Georgia Tech YEP (Youth Enrichment Program)! Their mission is to love kids in communities around the Georgia Tech campus and every Friday they do just that. Approximately eight Georgia Tech students come to our Bellwood Boys & Girls Club to help enrich the educational opportunities available to our members. The relationships that have been built because of this program are vital to the advancement of the youth that we serve each day.

We would like to honor the Georgia Tech YEP for their dedication and unbelievable generosity in giving their time, talent, and treasure to benefit The Salvation Army!
