THE SALVATION ARMY TO KICK-OFF ANNUAL RED KETTLE CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN ON TOP OF STONE MOUNTAIN
Join The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta in ringing in the holiday season on top of Stone Mountain for the “Ringing on the Rock” Red Kettle Christmas Campaign Kick-off.
This festive celebration will include musical performances by The Salvation Army Brass Band. The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Commander, Todd Hawks, will kick-off the Red Kettle campaign along with special remarks and honorary first dollars. The ceremony will also highlight many Salvation Army programs including Youth Services, Human Trafficking and Homeless and Homelessness prevention.
The Ringing from the Rock ceremony is FREE and open to the public. “We are proud to host The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign Kick-off at Stone Mountain Park. It is important to us to help them bring focus to the Christmas kettle campaign since it makes such a positive impact in our community throughout the entire year,” says Michael Dombrowski, Vice President and General Manager of Stone Mountain Park.
For 125 years The Salvation Army has started the Christmas Season with Red Kettles and Bell Ringers. “Bell ringing is not only a tradition but also a necessity. Without Red Kettles, Bell Ringers and community support, The Salvation Army would not be able to help those in desperate need year round,” says Metro Atlanta Area Commander, Major Todd Hawks. “This is a joyous kick-off to the Christmas season and the annual Red Kettle campaign!”
